How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. run gnome-network-preferences (or Red Hat/Preferences/Control 
Center/Proxy)
2. set up http proxy client configuration and press OK
3. run evolution
4. run netstat -ntpe
  
Actual results:

 evolutions connects to web servers directly

Expected results:

 evolutions connects to the proxy server

Additional info:

5. run gconf-editor and set system/proxy/use_http_proxy to fix this 
behavior

This bug is filed against RHEL 3, which is in maintenance phase.
During the maintenance phase, only security errata and select mission
