Description Orion Poplawski 2015-04-06 16:56:06 UTC
Spec URL: http://www.cora.nwra.com/~orion/fedora/python-google-apputils.spec
SRPM URL: http://www.cora.nwra.com/~orion/fedora/python-google-apputils-0.4.2-1.fc21.src.rpm
Description:
This project is a small collection of utilities for building Python
applications. It includes some of the same set of utilities used to build and
run internal Python apps at Google.

Features:

* Simple application startup integrated with python-gflags.
* Subcommands for command-line applications.
* Option to drop into pdb on uncaught exceptions.
* Helper functions for dealing with files.
* High-level profiling tools.
* Timezone-aware wrappers for datetime.datetime classes.
* Improved TestCase with the same methods as unittest2, plus helpful flags for
  test startup.
* google_test setuptools command for running tests.
* Helper module for creating application stubs.

Comment 1 Orion Poplawski 2015-04-06 20:44:54 UTC
Dropping BR on python3-mox - not running test for python 3 package.

Comment 2 Orion Poplawski 2015-04-06 20:57:08 UTC
Needed to build protobuf package.

Comment 3 Brendan Jones 2015-04-07 03:39:39 UTC
I can tek this review.

Comment 4 Orion Poplawski 2015-04-14 02:23:50 UTC
Ping?

Comment 5 Orion Poplawski 2015-04-21 13:11:12 UTC
Brendan - Are you going to do this? It's blocking a number of builds at this point? Thanks.

Comment 6 Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2015-04-22 00:34:31 UTC
This seems to be a trivial review. I'll take over.

Comment 7 Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2015-04-22 00:48:47 UTC
I'd suggest using
   %global _docdir_fmt %{name}
and sharing the doc and license files between the two subpackages. One less directory is always nice.

Version seems to be missing from changelog entry.

Some issues are pointed out by rpmlint below.

python-google-apputils.noarch: E: non-executable-script /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/google/apputils/__init__.py 0644L /usr/bin/env

This *should* be changed to %{__python2}, and to %{__python3} for the python3- subpackage. Especially for the python3- subpackage, because '/usr/bin/env python' can be understood to be python2, which is misleading.

Thanks - but you might want to fix https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_SCM_admin_requests#Pseudo-users_and_Groups_for_SIGs then.
