https://pypi.python.org/pypi/unittest2/1.0.1 is available
BTW python3-unittest2 does not make sense, unittest2 is py2.x only.
From pypi: unittest2 is a backport of the new features added to the unittest testing framework in Python 2.7 and onwards. It is tested to run on Python 2.6, 2.7, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and pypy. Also it needs six. Why it should be py2.x only?
traceback2 is a new dep, not packaged in Fedora afaict
> Why it should be py2.x only? ok, it might make sense on py3.x less than latest 3.5 But unittest2 should then update CLASSIFIERS in setup.py, it goes only up to 'Programming Language :: Python :: 2.7' hence my confusion.
> traceback2 is a new dep, not packaged in Fedora afaict and traceback2 depends on linecache2, also not in Fedora
Here's update to 1.0.1 https://github.com/apevec/python-unittest2/commits/master I'll create Fedora package reviews for linecache2 and traceback2
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 23 development cycle. Changing version to '23'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 23 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 23 End Of Life. Thank you.) More information and reason for this action is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping/Fedora23
> > traceback2 is a new dep, not packaged in Fedora afaict > and traceback2 depends on linecache2, also not in Fedora In the meantime both are in Fedora: linecache2 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=20712 traceback2 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=20725
Meanwhile I have built it for EPEL-7 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=12501391
@bkabrda, could I merge back epel7 branch back to Rawhide (http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/python-unittest2.git/commit/?h=epel7&id=a2cd2b2a9ddf5cb4a1574f2863e51f772c0b4d78)?
And if you ask why I would need unittest2 for python 2.7, then see for example https://bugs.python.org/issue7559 ... fixed in unittest2, but not in python 2.x stdlib proper.
