Sorry for the delay here, had to wait for a mirror to load and got distracted. Attempted to install xpdf today. xpdf-3.04-7.el7 conflicts with base package poppler-utils on centos 7: Transaction check error: file /usr/bin/pdfdetach from install of xpdf-1:3.04-7.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package poppler-utils-0.22.5-6.el7.x86_64 file /usr/share/man/man1/pdfdetach.1.gz from install of xpdf-1:3.04-7.el7.x86_64 conflicts with file from package poppler-utils-0.22.5-6.el7.x86_64 I tried yum clean all;yum install xpdf and the error did not change. Since poppler-utils is a dependency of cups, I can't (or rather, shouldn't) remove it.
