Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

My understanding is this commit just wraps the error but does not resolve the underlying problem with VMs in folders. Where fog library commits:

https://github.com/fog/fog/commit/bb9a4e8ef723b5855b9a5088a5080deda42aafa1
https://github.com/fog/fog/commit/6f205bbe0cb9dd2fab3c6b0d371b9933aba41507

are supposed to really fix it.

Is there an option to have those commits in Sat6.1? Either by rebasing ruby193-rubygem-fog or to backporting those two fixes to current ruby193-rubygem-fog?

Comment 5 Shlomi Zadok 2015-06-15 11:20:58 UTC
It would be great to have those commits in (greater upgrade fog gem to 1.28+)
However, the proposed solution is also for cases when there is no cluster (whether because it does not exist, the user has no permission, or it is in folders (which the two commits fix)

Comment 6 Bryan Kearney 2015-06-30 16:44:43 UTC
This bug is resolved in the Satellite 6.1 code base in bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1188435. We are not planning to backport this to 6.0, and are therefore closing out this bug. Please feel free to contact bkearney and dcaplan with any issues.
