Description of problem: After successfully hibernation, on the next bootup did not try to resume. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-3.19.* with kernel-3.18.* also works fine How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. hibernate your system 2. try to boot (resume) on the next boot, the kernel even not try that 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
It seems that with kernel 3.19.x, with x > 1, the resume from hibernation process does not work anymore if there is no "resume=" kernel parameter. I have no idea why it worked in the first place before. However, the default grub setup does not add such argument. I fixed this by putting this extra line in /etc/default/grub: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="resume=UUID=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx" where the x's are the UUID of my swap device (see /etc/fstab).
OK, this seems to be working. I check today on another machine.
OK, with this option everything is fine.
