Description Greg McCullough 2015-04-21 21:42:42 UTC
Description of problem:
All service dialog fields controls are active and can be modified by a user. As a service dialog designer I want to provide a read-only text box to provide descriptive text that I do not want the user to modify. This would also extend to other dialog fields where I may want a user to see a value being provided but not allow them to change it. For example in cloud provisioning I may want to let the user see what instance type will be used but not allow them to modify it.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.4

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a service dialog and add fields
2.
3.

Actual results:
Read-only option does not exist today.

Expected results:
Fields can be marked as read-only and when the dialog is displayed the user cannot modify the field.

Setting requires_doc_text?, but there may be a doc BZ already cloned for this. Setting Needinfo? for Andrew to confirm.

Comment 7 Andrew Dahms 2015-06-09 13:13:23 UTC
Hi Marianne,

Thank you for the needinfo request.

I think it would be good to include the doc text for this bug in the release notes; leaving flag set in its current state for review.

Kind regards,

Andrew
