Description of problem: When I connected to a Fedora 21 X2Go Server in "Published Applications" mode, the list of published applications was empty. This was fixed in upstream X2Go (but without a reported bug) as this commit to x2goserver.spec (which Fedora and Fedora EPEL do not use): http://code.x2go.org/gitweb?p=x2goserver.git;a=commit;h=532d4f3e72f222ce9eba2f91a06d268bfefe2ea2 Workaround: 1. sudo ln -s /usr/share/applications /etc/x2go/applications 2. Terminate (and restart) any Published Application sessions you have open. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.0.1.19-1.fc21 How reproducible: I produced it only once. However, this bug was known to upstream X2Go, which I am a part of. In upstream, we know that it is 100% reproducible. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install package x2goserver on the X2Go server. 2. Install package x2goclient on the X2Go client. (I actually used X2Go Client for Windows) 3. In x2goclient, define a session of type "Published Applications". 4. Connect (I used password authentication.) 5. Right click on the tray icon for X2Go Client and hover over the session name. 6. Right click on the tray icon for X2Go Client and click "Restore". 7. Click the "Published Applications" icon. (The circular icon on the left of the row of 4 icons.) Actual results: On step 5, you will not see a list of application categories. You will only see "Share Folder...", "Suspend" and "Terminate". On step 7, when the "Published Applications" window opens up, you will see no application categories listed. Expected results: On step 5, you will see a list of application categories. You can expand these categories and launch a pub app. On step 7, when the "Published Applications" window opens up, you will see a list of application categories. You can expand these categories and launch a pub app. Additional info: See workaround above. Also, it is safe to assume that EPEL is affected also.
Created attachment 1019177 [details] Patch that I ported from upstream and tested successfully on F21 Note that 4.0.1.19-1 is the version published, but I based this version (4.0.1.19-3) on 4.0.1.19-2.
Thanks. I used a slightly different patch to clean up some issues. Updates coming shortly.
