Hi! It seems recent versions of torque (4.x) now require that the clients programs (pbsnodes, qsub, qstat, ...) talk to a trqauthd daemon on the *client* host. [bellet@linux17 ~]$ qstat socket_connect_unix failed: 15137 socket_connect_unix failed: 15137 socket_connect_unix failed: 15137 qstat: cannot connect to server (null) (errno=15137) could not connect to trqauthd [bellet@linux17 ~]$ pbsnodes socket_connect_unix failed: 15137 pbsnodes: cannot connect to server linux1.dg.creatis.insa-lyon.fr, error=15137 (could not connect to trqauthd) [bellet@linux17 ~]$ qsub -I socket_connect_unix failed: 15137 qsub: cannot connect to server (null) (errno=15137) could not connect to trqauthd So this service probably should packaged and enabled in the torque-client subpackage.
