Same for me with Fedora 23 and T440s. The system locks up almost immediately after inserting into the dock. Is anyone else still seeing this problem with 4.2.2-300? I believe i915-set-ddi_pll_sel-in-dp-mst-path.patch addresses this issue.
It seems to fix this problem for me, but I also seem to be experiencing another problem with 4.2.2-300 that I am not seeing with 4.1.6-201. Trying to find the cause, and will open a new bug report.
Seems that something similar is happening to me on 4.2.6-301.fc23.x86_64.
