Comment 2 James Slagle 2015-05-26 18:09:25 UTC
this is the bug for configuring the overcloud

Comment 5 Jaromir Coufal 2016-01-06 18:07:29 UTC
Jirka, do you experience similar issue in your new GUI work? If not, can you close the bug please?

Comment 6 Jiri Tomasek 2016-02-01 12:41:59 UTC
We don't use this functionality in new GUI so this bug does not occur.

Comment 7 Marius Cornea 2016-02-01 12:47:21 UTC
We're using the notifications for the Cloudforms integration so can we keep this BZ opened?

Comment 8 Gilles Dubreuil 2016-02-29 10:24:15 UTC
Investigating

Comment 11 Ben Nemec 2016-03-01 20:31:22 UTC
The fix for this has been proposed upstream for a while, and it recently merged to master. All we need to wrap this one up is the backport to merge.

Comment 12 Tzu-Mainn Chen 2016-03-04 03:46:24 UTC
backport has been merged

Comment 16 Yurii Prokulevych 2016-03-29 13:56:45 UTC
Verified with openstack-tripleo-heat-templates-0.8.12-2.el7ost.noarch.

After enabling 'store_event' in ceilometer.conf events related to instance's life cycle where recieved without manual configuration of notification* options in nova.conf.

Comment 17 Ben Nemec 2016-03-29 16:48:08 UTC
Note that the store_events setting in ceilometer should now be exposed as a parameter in the templates, so it can be set at deploy time. The environment should look something like this:

parameter_defaults:
  CeilometerStoreEvents: true
