Created attachment 1030998 [details] firefox tab region and title bar Description of problem: I know this isn't really a firefox problem, I don't know where else to file this bug. This is the craziest thing I've ever seen. After upgrading to F22, firefox tabs are HUGE. I have no idea what is causing this. See attachment. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): firefox-38.0.1-1.fc22.x86_64 But, I don't really think this is a firefox problem. How reproducible: Can't seem to fix it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. All I did was upgrade to F22. 2. 3. Actual results: Crazy tabs. Expected results: Normal tabs. Additional info: I'm using Xfce, but still, I can't imagine this escaped anyone's notice. It must be something on my end, but what!? Obviously I cannot live like this: it takes up half my screen!
I think it's caused by some extension you use. The big '+' icon seems to be incorrect to me. Please try firefox in safe mode ($firefox -safe-mode), without any extension enabled.

You can also try creating a new user account.
Tracked this down to a particular Xfce icon package. It must not have the right re-sizing data. Sorry for the trouble. Let me reassign to Xfce.
rodent icon theme actually got dropped upstream, then revived and it's it's own package now. Moving there...

No. I saw it happen to the icon on the 'open' button in the "File open" dialog box for evince. That's when I knew it wasn't a FF-specific issue. Oh, you must have icons enabled for menus, though; that's a separate setting. If your window buttons don't have icons, just text, you might not notice this in other applications.
I had this happen on an upgrade from F20 to F22 just now. A work-around is to right click on the tab bar, choose 'customize' and drag the huge '+' size icon down, removing it from the toolbar. It's that icon that's out of size and is causing the tab size to inflate to contain it. Doing this immediately restored the tabs to ordinary size. I use Ctrl-T to add new tabs to the absence of the button doesn't irritate me.
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
