RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2017:0871 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE cloud-init and cloud-utils-growpart bug fix and enhancement update 2017-04-04 19:25:15 UTC

Description Brent Baude 2015-06-02 14:37:48 UTC
I have recently pushed a subscription for RHEL, which uses subman, to upstream cloud-init. It has been reviewed by upstream. I would like us to carry the code as a patch until upstream releases it. The code can be found here:

bzr branch lp:~bbaude/cloud-init/rh_subscription

The three key files are:

cc_rh_subscription.py
cloud-config-rh_subscription.txt
test_rh_subscription.py

These are basically file adds and not code needs to be patched, changed.

Also, we need to dep at least selinux-policy-3.13.1-25 as it has fixes related to dbus, cloud-init, and rhsmcertd.

I am happy to test when you have a package.

Comment 2 Lars Kellogg-Stedman 2015-06-03 20:04:07 UTC
I am waiting for some dist-git rules to update before I can push the changes officially, but you can grab a test build here:

https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/larsks/cloud-init/build/95698/

Comment 8 Brent Baude 2015-06-11 15:35:27 UTC
This is now merged upstream

Comment 15 Bent Terp 2016-06-21 12:02:30 UTC
I also need this, in order to autoprovision RHEL nodes on our OpenStack.

Comment 20 Brent Baude 2016-10-27 14:54:52 UTC
I have a proposed fix upstream for this awaiting approval. Please open a different bugzilla for the request for change and we can track inclusion there.
