Description of problem: Some touchpad functionality cannot be modified and is not working properly. Synclient outputs "Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?" Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xorg-x11-drv-synaptics - 1.8.2 How reproducible: Always
F22 uses the libinput driver as default touchpad driver (and for all other devices). see here for a detail what libinput is: http://who-t.blogspot.com.au/2014/09/libinput-common-input-stack-for-wayland.html the xorg libinput driver (xorg-x11-drv-libinput) wraps libinput and provides the X devices, but it doesn't provide the same properties that synaptics used to provide, hence the error from synclient (which is a synaptics-specific tool that looks at synaptics-specific properties only). If the touchpad doesn't work as expected, please file a separate bug for each item that doesn't work so we can get them fixed. Thanks.
Wow, very informative post. Thanks for the explanation. I'll open new issues for each problem I have. Thanks!
thanks. I'll close this one as NOTABUG and we'll handle the other bugs as they come in.
