In RHEL-OSP 7.0, the concept of erasure coding is in tech preview, but available for use.

Setting up erasure coding involves two key tasks -

1. Configuring erasure coding in swift.conf
2. Creating an associated ring file

Basic steps on how to configure erasure coding must be added, along with a brief explanation of what erasure coding is and why a user would want to use it.
