Description derverrucktefuchs 2015-06-05 17:25:50 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1228779 +++

Description of problem:
KDE 5 desktop environment broken and unusable. Panel widgets get shoved and "squished" together on the left side. The system tray does not respond to clicks. The application menu takes several minutes to appear, if at all. Once it appears it takes several minutes to respond to clicks, if at all. The mouse cursor moves slowly in a jerking manner as if drunk or at a low framerate. Dolphin and System Settings respond slowly to user input. KWalletManager does not appear/start to authenticate login of Wi-Fi.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
plasma-desktop 5.3.0-6.fc22
plasma-workspace 5.3.0-8.fc22

Might also include:
f22-kde-theme 22.3-1.fc22
plasma-desktop-doc 5.3.0-6.fc22

How reproducible:
Easily when updating to listed versions numbers of affected components.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Update specified components to listed versions
2.reboot
3.log into KDE Plasma session

Actual results:
KDE Plasma becomes broken, slow, and unusable

Expected results:
A normal, stable login session of the KDE Plasma environment.

Additional info:
Use Ethernet when testing bug. Wi-Fi may not work due to KWalletManager not appearing to authenticate Wi-Fi login. Problem is Fixed when using:

'sudo dnf downgrade plasma-desktop plasma-desktop-doc plasma-workspace f22-kde-theme'
