Description of problem:
When using gtk3-3.17.3.1.fc23 one cannot change the color of a gnumeric cell's text or background

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gtk3-3.17.3-1.fc23 (64-bit)

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. update gnumeric, gtk3 to current Rawhide
2. start gnumeric
3. attempt to change the background color of a cell

Actual results:
Cell background stays white

Expected results:
Cell background changes to selected color

Additional info:
Reverting to gtk3-3.16.3-1.fc22.x86_64 eliminates the problem
