Description of problem: Re installing a node in rhsc is always done from thr General sub tab of the Hosts. I see that there is a re install button present under the host main tab, this has to be removed. This button was not present in previous releases. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rhsc-3.1.0-0.58.master.el6.noarch How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a node to the console. 2. Now click on maintenance and move the host to maintenance 3. Actual results: Reinstall button becomes active which is present under the hosts main tab Expected results: Reinstall button should be removed from there. Additional info:
What is wrong in having the re-install button in the main tab. It was a newly introduced feature in Ovirt. This is same as re-install in general tab. Its a bug or feature?. :)
It is new feature which came up when we branched from upstream. Since this feature was not present in previous releases and i see this new option in the downstream build which is a bug. I would recommend to remove this , otherwise QE will have to test and document this feature.
I would suggest that instead of removing this button and verifying that button is removed, we can test the button and ensure that its working. Its not a new feature as such. Re-install flow was there already and there is no change in that. This button was added in RHEV-M 3.5 i think and it came as part of re-base. This is just an another UI trigger point to initiate the re-install. There is on change in the install flow.
Verified and works fine with build rhsc-3.1.0-0.60.el6.noarch. Now user can reinstall the hosts from the host main tab. When the hosts are put in maintenance mode a button appears there called Reinstall button and user will be able to do a re install of the host. Once the host is up, reinstall button will not be shown.
