Description Fred Wells 2015-06-10 04:38:59 UTC
Description of problem:

Upon login, KDE 5 plasma workspace hangs indefinitely and is highly unresponsive.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

plasma-workspace-5.3.0-8.fc22.x86_64
and
plasma-workspace-5.3.1-2.fc22.x86_64

How reproducible:

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to KDE
2. Observe hang
3. Click anywhere, no response

Actual results:

Unresponsive workspace

Expected results:

Responsive workspace

Additional info:

This was introduced by plasma-workspace-5.3.0-8.fc22.

$HOME/.config/kdeglobals is the offending config here, specifically the following entry:

[KDE]
LookAndFeelPackage=org.fedoraproject.twentytwo

Removing the above single entry corrects the problem entirely.
