Description Artur Szostak 2015-06-11 08:36:05 UTC
Description of problem:

It appears that the 32 bit RPM for CPL (cpl-6.4.2-2.fc22.i686.rpm) is being duplicated and landing up in both the i386 and x86_64 sections of the Fedora 22 repository. This is also happening for repositories of older Fedora versions.

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Follow the URL link:
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/22/Everything/x86_64/os/Packages/c/cpl-6.4.2-2.fc22.i686.rpm

Actual results:

The 32-bit RPM is downloadable from the x86_64 section of the repository.

Expected results:

The 32-bit RPM should not be downloadable from the x86_64 section of the repository. Only from the i386 section of the repository.

Comment 1 Sergio Pascual 2015-12-03 17:52:17 UTC
I don't know how to avoid this or if this is my fault

Comment 2 Artur Szostak 2015-12-07 10:29:49 UTC
I think this is likely a problem with the tools that take the built RPM packages and place them into the public repositories.
You should likely contact the people maintaining the build infrastructure tools.

Comment 3 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 20:10:21 UTC
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.

Comment 4 Artur Szostak 2016-07-25 06:54:47 UTC
This is still present in Fedora 24. See:
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/24/Everything/x86_64/os/Packages/c/cpl-7.0-3.fc24.i686.rpm

Who would be the right people to ask is this is an infrastructure issue? Can we add them to the CC for this ticket?

Comment 5 Samuel Sieb 2016-07-26 21:38:34 UTC
Sorry, adding the CC cleared the needinfo flag, but I don't think it was necessary anyway.

Comment 6 Sergio Pascual 2016-07-26 21:56:58 UTC
I have asked in the @devel list and this is most likely not a bug, instead is needed by multilib, i.e. running 32 bits apps in 64 bits. Lots of other 32 bits packages appear in 64 bits repos
