Description of problem:
The records in /var/log/messages are not in chronological order.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Allow system run for a week
2.
3.

Actual results:
see attached /var/log/messages where Jun 12 messages are showing up after Jun 15

Expected results:
messages are in chronological order
