Description Michael Cronenworth 2015-06-17 05:01:48 UTC
Please update libcec to 3.0.0 in rawhide and Fedora 22.

Kodi 15.0 (currently in beta) requires >= 3.0.0.

Comment 1 Peter Robinson 2015-06-17 09:07:45 UTC
I reviewed it briefly when 3.0 was tagged, it's grown some ugly stuff that I need to review properly which is why it's not yet been updated yet but it is on the todo list

Comment 2 Michael Cronenworth 2015-07-23 01:10:35 UTC
Kodi 15.0 has been released. Any update on this?

Comment 3 Rudd-O DragonFear 2015-09-11 09:02:11 UTC
Seconded. My TV has stopped powering on when I use my media center. Shoddy practices of the media and electronics industries aside, without libcec 3, it's really painful to use the media center at home, or at my family's home. Thanks in advance!

Comment 4 Nux 2015-09-22 16:45:32 UTC
+1, in the meanwhile Kodi released 15.1 and Libcec 3.0.1, an update is needed, s'il vous plaît

Comment 5 Ben Konrath 2015-09-24 09:26:11 UTC
It would be nice to get an update for EPEL EL7. I think it's only Kodi that's using this package so the update should be ok. Thanks for your work on packaging this.

Comment 6 Michael Cronenworth 2015-12-06 19:57:10 UTC
Kodi 16.0 is fixing to be released. Any update on this?

Hello,

I've added SRPM here, feel free to use it

It's unusable, it basically takes the Fedora one and puts core libraries into -devel and all sorts of other weird stuff

Comment 9 Nux 2016-01-12 08:46:25 UTC
Can you be a little more explicit so I can improve it?

You've changed a bunch of things from the Fedora one unnecessarily. Check the one committed to rawhide

Comment 11 Nux 2016-01-12 09:56:56 UTC
Thanks, I'll check it out.

Comment 12 Nux 2016-01-12 10:00:53 UTC
The Rawhide one is still stuck at v2, there is more stuff in v3. I was not sure what should go where, so I took some inspiration from PClinuxOS/OpenSUSE.

I'm looking at https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/source/SRPMS/l/libcec-2.2.0-3.fc23.src.rpm, is that the latest?

No it's not:

$ koji latest-pkg f24 libcec
Build Tag Built by
---------------------------------------- -------------------- ----------------
libcec-3.0.1-1.fc24 f24 pbrobinson

It's not in a compose yet hence not on the mirrors

Ok, that's great. Will you update the EPEL package as well?

Comment 17 Peter Robinson 2016-01-12 10:37:41 UTC
at the moment there's missing deps so the maintainer needs to deal with those first
