Description of problem: When gluster nfs is up and running status is shown as "ok" with status information as "OK:No gluster volume uses nfs" Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gluster-nagios-addons-0.2.3-1.el6rhs.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add hosts to cluster 2. Create a volume 3. Run configure-gluster-nagios and monitor all the nodes through nagios. 4. In one of the node grep for nfs process. Actual results: Gluster NFS process would be running in the backend but nagios displays the status nformation as "No gluster volume uses nfs" Expected results: Nagios should display that "Gluster volume uses nfs" when gluster nfs is present on the system. Additional info:
This issue happens because there was service name change for NFS in the server side but we missed the same in glusterpmd. As a result, passive service is not working for Gluster NFS service. Since active check runs only once in 24 hours, status will not be checked frequently. Giving the devel ack.
http://review.gluster.org/#/c/11349/ - posted to correct the service name that glusterpmd updates
Verified and works fine with build gluster-nagios-addons-0.2.4-1.el6rhs.x86_64 and nagios-server-addons-0.2.1-2.el6rhs.noarch when Gluster NFS process is down service would be marked critical and when Gluster NFS process comes up it would be marked as OK with status information "gluster-nfs process is running"
