With the addition of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 to the list of supported versions, it was discovered that information about how to build the C++ examples in Visual Studio 2012, along with the required CMake version required to build the C++ projects were missing from the README. The README has been updated to add the required steps, which will help customers build the examples correctly.

Description of problem:
"README-winsdk.txt" file is outdated; it includes prerequisites and instructions how to build the C++ examples in Visual Studio 2010 and 2008, but information about building in Visual Studio 2012 (which is supported) and needed CMake version to create C++ projects is missing.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
qpid-cpp-win-3.32.3.1-1

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Unzip the qpid-cpp-win package.
2. Open the "README-winsdk.txt" file and look at the content.

Actual results:
Information contained in the file is not up to date.

Expected results:
All information in packed documentation should be up to date.
Comment 1 Chuck Rolke 2015-07-14 16:17:08 EDT
Indeed the Readme is stale.

Fixed upstream at r1691070

The upstream jira QPID-6641 technically is about Visual Studio 2013 but the patch is a step including Visual Studio 2012, boost, and cmake.
Comment 4 Petra Svobodová 2015-09-10 10:47:18 EDT
"README-winsdk.txt" file is updated and gets correct information to users.

Verified on qpid-cpp-win-3.34.3.1-1.
