Description Darshan 2015-06-23 01:56:45 EDT
Description of problem:
Newly added volume option cluster.enable-shared-storage (for creating and mounting meta volume) is not listed as part of "gluster volume set help-xml" command output.
RHGSC uses output of command "gluster volume set help-xml" to get the list of all available volume options. Since cluster.enable-shared-storage is not listed in the above command output, there is no way for RHGSC to know about this option and hence wont be able to set this option through console.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
"volume set help-xml" command output does not list the volume option cluster.enable-shared-storage

Expected results:
cluster.enable-shared-storage has to be listed as part of "volume set help-xml"
output.

Fix for BZ 1232624 fixes this issue as well.
Comment 6 Shashank Raj 2015-08-26 05:59:00 EDT
Verified this bug with glusterfs-3.7.1-12 build and its working as expected.

snippets below:

[root@dhcp35-18 ~]# gluster volume set help --xml | grep cluster.enable-shared-storage
Option: cluster.enable-shared-storage

[root@dhcp35-18 ~]# gluster volume set help-xml | grep cluster.enable-shared-storage

</name></option><option><defaultValue>disable</defaultValue><description>Create and mount the shared storage volume(gluster_shared_storage) at /var/run/gluster/shared_storage on enabling this option. Unmount and delete the shared storage volume on disabling this option.</description><name>cluster.enable-shared-storage</name>

since this bug is fixed with latest 3.1.1 build, hence marking this as verified.
