Description of problem: Usually if you use "showmount <server hostname or iptaddr>" command then it displays the IPs of clients that have mounted the exports from the server. Now, in case of nfs-ganesha, we have to use the vipaddr and the showmount <vipaddr> does not display the client that have mounted the volume. It is an important funcationality for sysadmin to figure out where all the server is mounted. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): glusterfs-3.7.1-5.el6rhs.x86_64 nfs-ganesha-2.2.0-3.el6rhs.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a volume of 6x2 type, start it 2. confifure nfs-ganesha 3. mount the volume on a client 4. showmount <vipaddr> Actual results: result of step4, [root@nfs11 ~]# showmount 10.70.44.92 Hosts on 10.70.44.92: no client displayed, even though volume is mounted. Expected results: client IP should be displayed in case exports are mounted from the server. such as, [root@nfs11 ~]# showmount rhsqe-repo.lab.eng.blr.redhat.com Hosts on rhsqe-repo.lab.eng.blr.redhat.com: 10.70.42.123 Additional info:
This is not a critical functionality, deferring to rhgs-3.2.

The feature requested was added to Gluster/NFS with http://review.gluster.org/4430 . Keeping track of clients that mount a certain export is best effort, and can not be relied on in any case. This is currently a low-priority RFE, we are not planning to implement this.
