Description August Zajonc 2015-06-25 14:26:39 UTC
Description of problem:
Unregistered AMIs from getfedora.com won't launch

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 22 Cloud

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. https://getfedora.org/en/cloud/download/
2. Click GP2 HVM AMI (bottom left)

Actual results:
We cannot proceed with your requested configuration. You cannot use this AMI (ami-8552bbc1).
This AMI has been deregistered, or you do not have permission to use it. Try again with another AMI for which you have permissions, or request permission to use this AMI from its owner.

Expected results:
Launch instance screen

Additional info:
Perhaps remove the GP2 instances if no longer needed (HVM instance types often work well)

Comment 1 Michael DePaulo 2015-07-20 04:43:24 UTC

At least 2 of the AMIs in that list are affected:
US West (Oregon)	ami-bbc6fb8b
US West (N. California)	ami-8552bbc1

At least 1 is not affected:
US East (N. Virginia)	ami-81698dea

Related to https://fedorahosted.org/cloud/ticket/111 perhaps?
