Description of problem: | $ rpm -q --obsoletes php | ... | php-imap This makes it impossible to install both 'php' and 'php-imap' packages with apt. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): php-4.3.4-11
Thanks for the report.
Any chance to release an updated version (you have to do |-%{!?_with_imap:Obsoletes: php-imap} |+%{?_without_imap:Obsoletes: php-imap} in the spec-file)? Because of the broken curl-module, I am unable to build a fixed package myself.
An 4.3.6 update for FC2 is being built which removes the _with_imap conditional stuff completely.
Any idea when the updated package is available? BTW. php SRPM rebuild failed for me too. This is a QA concern as on a system with a full installation as mine, every package should rebuilable exactly as the distributed one. In theorie at least. :-)
Fixed in 4.3.6-5 update package currently in testing.
OK, new package installs and recompiles fine. I didn't compare the home-compiled files against the ones of the binary packages. But I hope that the build host produces the same binaries as a FC2 system will do.
Fixed in 4.3.6-5 update. http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2004-May/msg00029.html
