Description Marcelo Ricardo Leitner 2015-06-25 20:51:46 UTC
Description of problem:
I'm not quite sure where to report this, but if the horizontal scroll in wireshark is needed, I cannot select with the mouse the last low on packet captures as the line would be just under the scroll bar.

I don't know if this is a KDE bug, GNOME or what.. please help. It almost certainly isn't wireshark, but..

I tried changing KDE styles, but wireshark ignore them and looked the same no matter what.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
I'm using F22, KDE and wireshark. Can't test with GNOME, sorry.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Do a dummy capture so it uses more rows that it can show
2.Resize the window so the horizontal scroll is needed too
3.Try to select the last low with your mouse

Actual results:
It activates the scrollbar

Expected results:
Select the last row

Hi,

I think, I get what you experience. I am using GNOME 3.16 right now and see, that the horizontal scrollbar gets expanded and covers almost the whole last row.

Looks like GTK3 issue.

Comment 2 Peter Hatina 2015-06-26 10:56:52 UTC
For short-term workaround, I suggest using:

$ GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0 wireshark

Cool, thanks Peter.

Comment 5 Marcelo Ricardo Leitner 2015-06-26 12:26:30 UTC
Tested fc22 one, it disabled this hide/show effect of the scroll bars. If they are needed, they are always there, and it works for me, I can select the last row and everything.

Note that this hiding effect also made it impossible to resize the last column, probably for the same reason..

Thanks.
