steps to reproduce: 1. install RHCS 1.2.3 on RHEL 6 2. do an in-place upgrade to RHEL 7 3 rpm -qa | grep supervisor # reports that the version is still el6 to test the fix enable the puddle containing the new packages in https://errata.devel.redhat.com/advisory/21015 then run a yum update supervisor. Confirm that the package you now have installed is supervisor-3.0-2.el7cp run calamari-ctl initialize # ensure that calamari responds to requests for the dashboard.
2b. you'll need to reinstall calamari using ice_setup and the RHCS 1.2.3 Rhel 7 iso
since the os upgrade part would already be covered during bug verification of: bz 1233367, we are only testing if the supervisor package version is changed and works fine by 1. install 1.2.3 iso on rhel 7.1, bring up calmari using ice_setup 2. look for supervisor package version - it would be supervisor-3.0.1.el7cp 3. pull the puddle packages from https://errata.devel.redhat.com/advisory/21015 4. look for supervisor version, it should be supervisor-3.0.2.el7cp. verify if calamari responds to requests from dashboard.
I upgraded a RHEL 7.1 machine to supervisor-3.0.2.el7cp I brought up calamari and installed a ceph cluster. Logging in to calamari, after entering the username and password, returns: Server Error (500)
The Server Error (500) was caused by epel being installed on my test systems (thanks to Dan Mick for figuring this out). This all works swimmingly once I disabled epel. How epel ended up being enabled is a mystery to me that I am currently investigating.
