bwm-ng is really useful and it would be great to have it in EPEL 7. Would it be possible to get a package pushed that works in RHEL/CentOS 7?
me too. Thanks, Gianluca
Any update on this - bwm-ng is quite a useful tool.
It needs libstatgrab which currently isn't in EPEL7. There has been some back- and forth wrt. libstatgrab in fedora - so while I have access rights to the EPEL7-Branch of it I need to find out which version is the right one to package for EPEL7 first.
The new bwm-ng no longer depends on libstatgrab so I've built a version for EPEL7: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=13004647 Please note that this version isn't submitted as an update for fedora yet so I am not going to push an update to EPEL for the next 4 - 8 weeks. But at least there is progress ...
I've tested the x86_64 rpm at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=736253 , and it's not working on RHEL7, it exits immediately: [root@vmh1 ~]# bwm-ng invalid input selected I've not done any further investigation. https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/bwm-ng-0.6-6.el6.2.x86_64.rpm works fine on RHEL7 though.
Right - sorry. I saw that as well but mistook it for a normal message. My fault. The default input in the config-file needs to be adapted as well. This works for me - can you try it please? http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=13012953
Yes, that build seems to work fine.
Hello, I've tested the package in comment#6 on an updated CentOS 7.2 and it works as expected. Some transfers in both directions with scp and scp display rate matches bwm-ng one.
