When the configure-gluster-nagios command tries to get the IP Address and FLAGs for all network interfaces in the system, the following error appears: "ERROR:root:unable to get ipaddr/flags for <nic-name>: [Errno 99] Cannot assign requested address" when there is an issue while retrieving IP Address/Fags for a NIC." However, the command actually succeeded and configured the nagios correctly.

Comment 2 Ramesh N 2015-07-07 00:17:14 EDT
I think there is some issue when there un-configured nics in the system. Looks like eth2 is not configured in this case. But nagios monitoring should work without any issue. Can u confirm that nagios monitoring works correctly though there is an error message in auto configuration?.
Comment 3 RamaKasturi 2015-07-07 01:56:52 EDT
eth2 is configured and ovirtmgmt bridge is created on that. Nagios monitoring works fine. But i see the error mentioned in the bug when i run configure-gluster-nagios.
Comment 4 Ramesh N 2015-07-07 02:26:42 EDT
I am not able to re-produce this issue. We are logging this error when we fail to retrive IP Address or FLAGs for a particular nic. In this we are not able to retrieve the IP Address/Flgas for the nic eth2.

doc text looks good. Approved.
Comment 8 Sahina Bose 2016-04-13 02:19:17 EDT
Since this seems more like a configuration issue with networks, and no impact to working nagios monitoring- closing this.
Please reopen if you think it is a necessary fix.
