Description Udi Kalifon 2015-07-08 14:54:01 UTC
Description of problem:
The network isolation feature is not GA grade. If we insist on including it with the GA we should probably label it as "preview". Using the feature involves changing the yaml files, which requires that the user know the structure of the files, which is the same as asking the user to change the source code of openstack... A user might change things that will break the deployment.

I was unable to follow the documentation without hours of 1-on-1 support with dsneddon, mcornea and oblaut. In the end it started making sense to me (not all is clear yet), but expecting a user to follow the instructions blindly without the understanding of what's going on is unreasonable.

Can you please file individual RFEs/Bugs for specific issues? This bug as filed has nothing that can be worked on directly.

Comment 4 Omri Hochman 2015-07-09 13:58:16 UTC
Switched to become a : [tracker] network isolation user experience

Comment 7 Mike Burns 2016-04-07 20:43:53 UTC
This bug did not make the OSP 8.0 release. It is being deferred to OSP 10.

Hi! Most of the bugs this depends on are fixed, and anyway with the DFG transition such tracker bugs make little sense IMO. Please follow Mike's advice and create separate bugs for issues you find.
