Description Graeme Gillies 2015-07-13 23:38:56 UTC
Description of problem:

With the unified cli, overcloud deploy adds the admin token and keystone
endpoint for the overcloud into an overcloud element in your baremetal
nodes file, in this case instackenv.json. It's annoying to have to
clear it out each time I do a redeploy, and if the data isn't used, it
doesn't make sense to have this added to a file which, by all accounts,
should be used for configuring your bare metal nodes only.

it's just a legacy behavior that needs to be cleaned up. we can do without it going forward. that being said, I don't think you need to clear out the overcloud key between redeploys as it should be overwritten by the cli code.

This bug did not make the OSP 8.0 release. It is being deferred to OSP 10.

Comment 8 Jason E. Rist 2016-10-14 23:04:19 UTC
Is this still an issue Graeme?

Comment 9 Graeme Gillies 2016-10-17 04:23:57 UTC
Looking at RDO mitaka it looks like this doesn't happen anymore, so I guess it was fixed at some point.

Regards,

Graeme

Cannot reproduce --- it looks stale to me.
