RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Steven J. Levine 2015-07-20 16:31:15 UTC
Cloning for RHEL 7

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1244871 +++

The Pacemaker monitoring example is wrong in the Pacemaker document. The --clone option needs to go at the end of the pcs resource create command.

A correct version of the command -- and a better example to use -- can be found here:

https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1404233

This needs to be fixed on the Portal ASAP and since this is too late for the actual RHEL 6.7 GA it should be updated and pushed out as soon as possible after that release.

I have added the information already added and approved and released in the 6.7 version of the document to the working draft of the 7.2 version of this document.

Comment 8 Andrew Beekhof 2015-09-29 06:49:33 UTC
The documentation at:

 https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html-single/Configuring_the_Red_Hat_High_Availability_Add-On_with_Pacemaker/index.html#s1-eventnotification-HAAR

still talks about the ability to create ClusterMon-SMTP which is in the same category as SNMP.

FYI: This is coming in 6.8/7.2 - http://blog.clusterlabs.org/blog/2015/reliable-notifications/

Comment 9 Steven J. Levine 2015-09-29 13:46:34 UTC
Hmmm... I fixed this in July and the updated version is on the internal review server, but the version that was pushed to the public site doesn't seem to have the update although it should have been the identical version.

I'll rebuild this and push it live and see what the deal is.

I'll open a 6.8 BZ about the new feature.

Thanks.

Steven

Comment 10 Steven J. Levine 2015-09-29 14:03:53 UTC
Correction: I fixed this for 6.7 in July and that's the version I'm rebuilding. I was looking at RHEL 6 because the link in Comment 8 is to the RHEL 6 version but this is a RHEL 7 bug. In any case, the RHEL 6 version does need to be fixed and I'll update this BZ when that's out on the Portal.

(I have also cloned this bug for the new monitoring feature for RHEL 7.2, although it's somewhat late in the 7.2 cycle.)

For RHEL 7, the fix is on the public site for the 7.2 beta:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7-Beta/html/High_Availability_Add-On_Reference/s1-eventnotification-HAAR.html

But I will also push that fix to the public RHEL 7.1 site as well, since it's another month or so before the 7.2 docs move from beta.

I have rebuilt the RHEL 6 version of the document on the Portal and section 8.3 now shows the updated documentation.
