Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Shows that the GUI isn't updating
Description of problem:
=======================
From the subscription-manager, I first registered a system then did `subscription-manager attach --auto`. I then brought up the subscription-manager-gui. The installed product showed up green as shown in the first screenshot. Then from the subscription-manager CLI, I did a subscription-manager remove --all. The GUI should have reflected the change by going to a red icon through a dbus signal, but it did not. Only by closing the GUI and reopening did I see the red icon.
This also can occur in reverse. If you already have the GUI open, from the CLI subman, you can do `subscription-manager attach --auto`, and you will not see the icon for the product turn green.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
=============================================================
subscription-manager-1.15.6-1.el7.x86_64
subscription-manager-gui-1.15.6-1.el7.x86_64
How reproducible:
=================
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
===================
1. subscription-manager register
2. subscription-manager attach --auto
3. (in separate console) subscription-manager-gui
4. subscription-manager remove --all
Actual results:
===============
The GUI is not updated with the correct icon color to indicate that the subscription has been removed (or added)
Expected results:
=================
The icons should change to their respective color (green or red) when the product has been attached or removed even if the command to attach or remove is run from the subscription-manager CLI. This indicates that the GUI is not receiving dbus signals.
Additional info:
I am finding that this is breaking additional tests, for example after subscribing all products, because the status of the products is not updated, if a user goes to System->Repositories it will show up as empty
I think this is a dupe of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1240553
(in the sense that the fix is the same change, even if the behavior is slightly different).
in master:
commit 6857d9ce2f1251c5aaf2e47570680c1cdd7ae0a6
Author: Adrian Likins <alikins>

1240553: Fix detection of cert dir changes
The timeout that called the file monitor objects was
not returning True, so it would run once, and then be
removed from the event loop sources. Now it returns
True forever.
This fixes issues where changes to certificate directories
(/etc/pki/entitlement/ for ex) were not being noticed by the
gui. This included changes by running the cli command at the
same time, or using the "Import cert" dialog to import an
entitlement certificate.
