Description of problem: Currently testing the new redhat-certification packages in my lab. So I have added some system from scratch, always filling out "Vendor", "Make" and "Product". The Web UI overview of the certifcations now lists them all with "Vendor" and "Make" information, so now I have several lines witth "Mycompany Mymake" but missing the real product name like "A123". I guess the chances are very low that inside my lab I will ever run any certificatiion for a company that is not "Mycompany", so showing this in the overview is (at least for me) not of any interest. But not showing the product that distingueshes the cert is not very useful. So my wishlist item is change the overview so that it shows Make & Product instead of Vendor and Make. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): redhat-certification-1.0-20150707.el7.noarch.rpm How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add some certs from scratch with same Vendor and Make but different products 2. Look at the certification overview and see what I mean Actual results: By supressing the prodcuct information in the overview this is rendered useless when you have a longer list. Expected results: Overview should list Identifiers that distinguish the certifications. Additional info: -
This has been changed to Vendor and Name for all non-hardware product, and Vendor, Make and Name for hardware products. Also, Vendor defaults to the most recent local product.
Rainer, can you verify this fixes the issue once the release including the fix is released?
(In reply to Christian Horn from comment #2) > Rainer, can you verify this fixes the issue once the release including the > fix is released? Chris, I wish I could try, but I don't see that updated package on RHN yet.
Hi Rainer, ACK, it's not yet released, the next release has to be used. The "fixed in" field relates to an internal build only. It also has not seen the full QA, so other things might break.. so lets wait for the next release.
