Description Rick Wagner 2015-07-22 15:05:35 UTC
When Roll up FSW_6.0_1_2015 was QE'ed, it was noted that RTGov did not start if the Roll up was applied on top of the previous Roll up. (FSW_6.0_4_2014). RTGov did start when FSW_6.0_1_2015 was applied on top of 6.0GA.

Please ensure FSW_6.0_2_2015 can be applied to either 6.0GA or FSW_6.0_1_2015 with satisfactory results. If this is not possible, please discuss so we can determine future direction.

Thanks,

Rick

Hi Rick

Could you confirm that RTGov starts up properly in FSW_6.0_4_2014?

If so, what has changed in RTGov between FSW_6.0_4_2015 and FSW_6.0_1_2015?

I think I can guess the problem based on the information in: http://pastebin.test.redhat.com/299405

The EPNs, IPs, etc wars have an EJB jar that acts as a bootstrap to load the definitions contained in the war. In the product these wars are exploded to help with patching.

My guess is that this latest patch has a newer version of the loader jars, which is being unpacked along side the previous version, therefore the wars now have two EJBs with the same name.

If this is the case, then is there a way that the patching tool can remove a jar?

GA -> FSW_6.0_4_2014 -> FSW_6.0_1_2015(broken) -> FSW_6.0_2_2015 (fixed)
