Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1250799
package vtkdata-6.1.0 carries no usable data
Last modified: 2016-07-19 16:12:05 EDT
Description of problem:
VTK examples in /usr/share/doc/vtk-examples/Examples/ require data from the vtkdata package to be installed at /usr/share/vtkdata-6.1.0/ but no files are there after installation, other than a bunch of hidden files in /usr/share/vtkdata-6.1.0/.ExternalData/MD5/.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): vtkdata-6.1.0
How reproducible: always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo dnf install vtkdata*
a bunch of hidden files in /usr/share/vtkdata-6.1.0/.ExternalData/MD5/
vtk data files in a bunch of hidden files in /usr/share/vtkdata-6.1.0/
Yeah, I haven't really figured out the best way to handle this. The current format is what is needed for the in build tests, but as you see don't work with the installed examples.
