RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2015:2117 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE iproute bug fix and enhancement update 2015-11-19 11:35:06 UTC

Description Phil Sutter 2015-08-06 13:05:21 UTC
During QA, Coverity tool detected several programming errors. A series of patches addressing them has been sent upstream for review:
http://marc.info/?l=linux-netdev&m=143886389810189&w=2

Comment 1 Phil Sutter 2015-08-06 13:54:40 UTC
In addition to this, another commit from upstream should be backported:

commit d2055ea597e571bbbb6468b23b9c85de5ebf4591
Author: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet>
Date: Fri May 29 04:04:05 2015 -0700

ss: Fix allocation of cong control alg name

Comment 4 Phil Sutter 2015-08-18 16:34:33 UTC
One of my submitted (and backported) patches was insufficient. I followed up with a real fix:
https://www.mail-archive.com/netdev@vger.kernel.org/msg74434.html

Comment 5 Phil Sutter 2015-08-18 16:39:48 UTC
In addition, another commit needs to be backported to eliminate a compiler warning:

commit b765eda924363caec99b760d8cff815ecf4a8de6
Author: Nicolas Dichtel <nicolas.dichtel>
Date: Wed Apr 22 10:27:06 2015 +0200

    libnamespaces: fix warning about syscall()

    The warning was:
    In file included from namespace.c:14:0:
    ../include/namespace.h: In function ‘setns’:
../include/namespace.h:37:2: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘syscall’ [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]
