RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Vadim Rutkovsky 2015-08-12 09:10:39 UTC
Seems to happen randomly on Evolution shutdown

Comment 1 Milan Crha 2015-08-12 13:34:02 UTC
Thanks for a bug report. It looks like upstream bug [1]. The code doesn't match exactly in the 3.12.11 and in the upstream bug, one file was added meanwhile, but the change is otherwise applicable, thus I guess it should fix it. I made a test build at [2], with which you can give it a try before I apply it to package sources.

Comment 2 Vadim Rutkovsky 2015-08-14 08:45:17 UTC
Verified https://brewweb.devel.redhat.com/taskinfo?taskID=9679345 - no crash occurs after several runs. CI and FAF will make sure the crash didn't occur anymore

Comment 3 Milan Crha 2015-08-14 08:45:36 UTC
I would not include this bug report in the errata doc text, as this is kind of sporadic crash, with no exact steps to reproduce. The upstream bug (comment #1) has some steps, but the code is not the same and I was not able to reproduce it with those steps too.

Comment 5 Vadim Rutkovsky 2015-09-07 11:07:12 UTC
Cannot reproduce in evolution-3.12.11-15.el7.x86_64

Comment 6 Vadim Rutkovsky 2015-10-08 11:22:32 UTC
FAF has registered 6 crashes for evolution-3.12.11-15.el7.x86_64: see affected versions in http://faf-report.itos.redhat.com/reports/7867/

I'll reopen the issue as soon as I'll get more information
