Security researcher Joshua Drake reported potential integer overflows in the libstagefright library while processing video sample metadata in MPEG4 video files. This can lead to a potentially exploitable crash.

This issue was fixed by Mozilla in firefox 38 but was made public recently due to the restrictions placed by the reporter.

This issue was addressed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6 and 7, when the firefox package was rebased to 38.0 ESR via the following advisory:
