Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1255811
[fix available] Calc: Random Number generator can't be edited and applied for cell location
Last modified: 2016-11-03 15:01:25 EDT
Description of problem:
The Random Number Generator dialog box only sees what the mouse selects on the spreadsheet and ignores manual input for a cell range.
Edit -> Fill -> Random Number, I selected $C$1:$H$25 as a range with my mouse. I then edited the range by replacing $C$1 with $A$1. When I click apply, the random numbers are only filled out in $C$1:$H$25 when clearly, the dialog box has $A$1:$H$25.
I will attach the screen captures of what I witnessed.

Filling in random numbers in original cells from mouse swipe.

This shows that the cells are filled in, despite what the dialog box says.
