dnf plugin packages provide 'dnf-command(PLUGIN)' RPM symbols. For example there is 'dnf-command(repoquery)'. However this is not true for regular dnf commands. I'd like to see also regular dnf's command to be provided by the dnf-command() schema. This would allow uniform addressing of dnf commands. For example cpanspec package calls "dnf provides", yet it must require 'dnf' instead of 'dnf-command(provides)'. It's difficult to recognize difference between embedded and plugin commands without investigating 'dnf --help' output and to keep pace with still evolving dnf.
