Description dexterthrowaway 2004-06-21 16:40:49 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6)
Gecko/20040518 Firefox/0.8

Description of problem:
Setting the workgroup name as "workgroup" removes the workgroup
setting in smb.conf.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
system-config-samba-1.2.9-2

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run the system-config-samba GUI.
2. Select from menu "Preferences" -> "Server Settings"
3. For the Workgroup text field, enter "workgroup"
4. Press OK.
5. Quit system-config-samba GUI.

Actual Results: Check /etc/samba/smb.conf, "workgroup = workgroup"
does not exist. Running system-config-samba, open "Preferences" ->
"Server Settings" from the menu. Note that Workgroup text field is empty.

Expected Results: The workgroup name "workgroup" should be saved in
/etc/samba/smb.conf. This is a legal workgroup name.

Additional info:

This was actually noticed first in FC1's redhat-config-samba. Bug
never reported in.

Should be fixed in system-config-samba-1.2.10-1 in Rawhide. Thanks
for your report.
