Description Nux 2015-09-25 05:53:27 EDT
Description of problem:
libmtp shipped by EL6 is so old that I don't think anyone sees any usefulness in it, it doesn't seem to work with anything

Considering it's a pretty important package (people transfer mobile phone files all the time), can we get this upgraded to 1.1?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install
2. observe it's absolutely useless

Actual results:

Expected results:
I expect to be able to transfer files from my phone

Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2015-09-25 08:18:22 EDT
RHEL7 ships libmtp 1.1.6. It's unlikely that we'll update libmtp in RHEL6, desktop users should try and use the latest released version, which will have more recent versions.

If this upgrade is necessary for a large deployment, please contact your support representative.
