Description of problem: ------------------------- The CFME web UI becomes inaccessible and this error is seen. Proxy error - Reason: error reading from remote server when accessing the CFME UI Rebooting the appliance helps,but the error comes back after a while. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ------------------------- 5.5.0.2 How reproducible: ---------------- Always Steps to Reproduce: -------------------- 1.Manage multiple providers 2.Enable C&U collection for the providers. Sometimes,step 1 alone is sufficient and at times the issue is seen when the appliance is managing just one provider with C&U enabled. Actual results: ----------------- proxy error,UI becomes inaccessible Expected results: ----------------- No proxy error,UI should be accessible Additional info: ----------------
The new 5.5.0.x appliances seem to have a higher resource footprint. It appears you can barely manage one provider with c&u turned out which is a regression from earlier releases which allowed up to 3 providers depending on the amount of resources under them. Alex from performance QE is looking into it and should report back.

Clearing Needinfo. Memory utilization issues were on 5.5 builds was addressed in multiple ways.
