Description of problem: Upstream glusterfs.spec.in has been changed to prepend a 0. to the release number. This is not acceptable for the downstream release. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Downstream release numbering in hte NVR should only be integral eg. 3.1.2-3 and not 3.1.2-0.3 Additional info: The glusterfs.spec.in needs to be changed only for downstream.
Release not being integral is not the only problem with the downstream spec file. Bala brought up the issue of missing DOWNSTREAM ONLY patches. This BZ is now being used to apply and address patching of downstream glusterfs.spec.in with downstream only patches. DOWNSTREAM ONLY patches are as follows and need to be applied in the mentioned sequence: 1. build: remove ghost directory entries https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60133/ 2. build: add RHGS specific changes https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60134/ 3. secalert: remove setuid bit for fusermount-glusterfs https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60135/ 4. build: packaging corrections for RHEL-5 https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60136/ 5. build: introduce security hardening flags in gluster https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60137/ 6. spec: fix/add pre-transaction scripts for geo-rep and cli packages https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60138/ 7. rpm: glusterfs-devel for client-builds should not depend on -server https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60139/ 8. build: add pretrans check https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60140/ 9, build: exclude libgfdb.pc conditionally https://code.engineering.redhat.com/gerrit/#/c/60141/
This is fixed.
