RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Sean Toner 2015-10-22 18:28:58 UTC
Description of problem:
=======================

For subscription-manager-gui testing, we use a test tool called ldtp which uses pyatspi and the accessibility tool kit for automation testing. The at-spi2-core package is a dependency for the high-level pyatspi package.

The version of at-spi2-core that exists in RHEL-7.2 is 2.8.0-6.el7 is about 3 years old and it is not current enough to support testing of certain GTK3 widgets (for example drop down boxes, spinner buttons, or key event presses). This is causing a rather large portion of our automated tests to no longer work because of the GTK3 changes.

I have built the src.rpms from Fedora23 Beta on RHEL 7.2 and was able to get several GTK3 tests to work. The version I built which works is

[root@dhcp129-94 ~]# rpm -qa | grep at-spi2-core
at-spi2-core-devel-2.17.90-1.el7.x86_64
at-spi2-core-2.17.90-1.el7.x86_64
at-spi2-core-debuginfo-2.17.90-1.el7.x86_64

The latest version will be 2.18.0 I believe.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

atk
at-spi2-atk
pyatspi

I don't think we can do a rebase at this point, less than a week from final devel freeze. This should have been brought up much earlier. We can certainly do this for 7.3

at-spi2-core autotests pass:
