Internal Links: 1223671

Description Nikolai Sednev 2015-11-01 12:57:00 UTC
Description of problem:
Add an option to enable sga device for x86 BIOS serial interaction.
Currently it's not possible to get guest's graphical BIOS emulation over serial-console.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ovirt-vmconsole-1.0.0-0.0.6.master.el7ev.noarch
ovirt-vmconsole-host-1.0.0-0.0.6.master.el7ev.noarch
Linux version 3.10.0-324.el7.x86_64 (mockbuild.eng.bos.redhat.com) (gcc version 4.8.3 20140911 (Red Hat 4.8.3-9) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Tue Oct 13 21:28:31 EDT 2015

On engine:
ovirt-vmconsole-proxy-1.0.0-1.el6ev.noarch
rhevm-vmconsole-proxy-helper-3.6.0.2-0.1.el6.noarch
rhevm-setup-plugin-vmconsole-proxy-helper-3.6.0.2-0.1.el6.noarch
ovirt-vmconsole-1.0.0-1.el6ev.noarch
Linux version 2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.x86_64 (mockbuild.eng.bos.redhat.com) (gcc version 4.4.7 20120313 (Red Hat 4.4.7-16) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Thu Sep 10 13:42:16 EDT 2015

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable the boot menu in guest-VM boot.
2.Connect to the guest-VM over serial-console and start the VM.
3.

Actual results:
BIOS prompts not visible via serial-console during guest-VM's boot.

Expected results:
BIOS prompts should be visible like they shown via Spice or VNC.

Target release should be placed once a package build is known to fix a issue. Since this bug is not modified, the target version has been reset. Please use target milestone to plan a fix for a oVirt release.
